What is Business Continuity and why is it required?
Business Continuity is a term that refers to the capability of an Organization to continue its operations as usual despite a disruptive incident.
In today’s business, deliveries to the customer on timeevery time is the mantra to build a long lasting client relationship with continued business. Failure to deliver on-time can dent the image of an organization in the eyes of the customer. To be able to deliver on-time, businesses need to operate at its pre-defined levels inspite of disruptions such as power crisis, network unavailability, employee absenteeism, emergencies and other business disruptions.
It is therefore advisable for Organizations to implement a Business Continuity Management System to keep its operations up and running without yielding to disruptions.
